FAQ

Does Graffiti cost anything?

The bot and the dashboard are free. Every protection, moderation, community and engagement module is available on a free account. Two things need Premium on a server: running a custom bot there, and unlimited ticket types.

How does Premium work?

Premium applies to a server, not to your account. Your plan covers a number of servers and you choose which ones from the Premium page — move it between them whenever you like. Everyone who administers a Premium server gets the same capabilities there, whether or not they are the one paying.

PlanPremium serversPer server
FreeNoneUp to 3 ticket types
PremiumUp to 3Custom bot, unlimited ticket types
LifetimeUp to 99Custom bot, unlimited ticket types

Plans are assigned by hand. Ask in the support server.

If a plan lapses, nothing is deleted. The servers over the new limit are paused and everything you configured is kept — putting Premium back on a server resumes it exactly as it was.

What is a custom bot?

A complete Graffiti instance running under a Discord application you created, so it carries your name, avatar and presence instead of ours. It has the same modules and is configured from the same dashboard. Set one up from a Premium server's settings, under Custom bot. You supply the bot token; it is encrypted before it is stored and is never displayed again.

One Discord application can serve several of your servers. Discord gives an application a single name, avatar and status, so those apply everywhere it runs — the setup page tells you when that is the case.

Can I run the shared bot and my own bot in one server?

You can invite both, but only one will respond, and you decide which. A server is served by the custom bot you set up on it, or by the main Graffiti bot if you have not set one up. Nothing is decided by which bot arrived first.

What data does Graffiti store?

  • About your account: Discord user ID, username, avatar URL and tier.
  • About your server: its settings, ticket types, whether Premium is on it, and which bot instance serves it.
  • About members: message and voice-time counts, warnings, starred messages and saved voice-room preferences.

Message content is not archived. It is read to run the filters and then discarded, except where you have explicitly asked for it to be kept — a ticket transcript or a Hall of Fame post. See the Privacy Policy.

Do I need to give Graffiti Administrator?

No. The invite asks for a broad set because the modules cover a lot of ground, but you can reduce the bot's role afterwards. Each module needs the permission its job implies, and one without it will log a failure rather than break anything else.

A module is not doing anything.

Check, in order: the module's Enable switch, that a channel is selected where one is required, that Graffiti's role has the relevant permission, and that its role sits above any role or member it needs to act on. If a mod log channel is set, failures are recorded there.

Do settings survive removing the bot?

Yes. Configuration is kept, so re-inviting Graffiti restores the setup you had.

How do I get help?

The support server is the place — for questions, bug reports and feature requests alike. It is a small project and things move quickly there.
