Getting Started

Graffiti is a modular Discord bot. You add it to a server, sign in to the dashboard, and switch on the modules that server needs. Nothing is enabled by default except activity tracking, so a fresh install is quiet until you configure it.

What you need

  • A Discord server where you have the Manage Server or Administrator permission.
  • A Discord account to sign in to the dashboard with. Graffiti uses Discord's own OAuth so there is no separate password.

The short version

  1. Invite the bot. See Adding Graffiti.
  2. Open the dashboard and pick your server from the list.
  3. Set a log channel. Under General Settings › System Channels, choose where moderation actions get recorded. Most other modules are more useful once this exists.
  4. Turn on what you need. Each module has its own Enable switch and its own options.
  5. Save. Changes apply immediately.

A sensible first setup

If you are not sure where to start, this covers most servers:

  • General Settings — set the mod log channel and decide whether members get a DM when they are punished.
  • Link Protection — enable the phishing and scam filters, action set to delete or timeout.
  • Anti-Bot / Raid — enable cross-channel spam detection at the default thresholds.
  • Roles — pick the role new members should receive.

Commands

Graffiti's commands are Discord slash commands, so typing / in any channel lists the ones you have permission to use. A handful of legacy prefix commands also exist; the prefix defaults to g? and can be changed under General Settings.
